Chadbourne Neighborhood Crime Watch Program (CNCWP)
**New -- Check link at end for HOME SECURITY AUDIT GUIDE
Overview
The prevention of crime in our neighborhood- particularly the prevention of residential burglaries- is a shared responsibility between law enforcement officials and residents living in our sub-division. It is the goal of the Chadbourne Neighborhood Crime Watch Program (CNCWP) to collaborate with local law enforcement in an active campaign to deter and/or reduce criminal activity in our community.
The following are primary objectives of the CNCWP:
· getting neighbors to know each other; working together in a program of mutual assistance as it relates to crime in our area
· heightening awareness to be more alert in recognizing suspicious activities in Chadbourne
· communicating / sharing crime prevention tips
· communicating incidents to residents via Chadbourne web site

Reporting Suspicious Activity
Anything that seems slightly out of place or is occurring at an unusual time of day could be criminal activity.
CALL LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT IMMEDIATELY - Dont worry about bothering them or about being embarrassed if your suspicions prove to be unfounded. Think instead about what could happen if you dont call.
Not every stranger who comes into our neighborhood is a criminal by any means. There are service providers, repair people, etc. Criminals often times take advantage of this by pretending to be legitimate service persons. Law enforcement would rather investigate than be called when it is too late. Your call could save a life, prevent an injury, or stop a criminal act.
